Are you curious about pursuing a career in mental health? The Latinx Therapist Project offers Mental Health Career Pathway Education Events designed to inspire and guide Latine individuals interested in this rewarding field and is also open to all community members to attend and learn more! Whether you’re a high school student, college student, professional, or someone exploring a career change, our events provide valuable insights and resources to help you take the next step!

Program Overview

Our therapy career pathway education events provide insight into diverse mental health professions, such as Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, and Clinical Psychology. You’ll learn about required education, program lengths, and specialties to find your best fit. Hear directly from Latinx professionals about their experiences, explore scholarship and mentorship opportunities, and engage in Q&A sessions to connect with experts and resources for your journey.

Who Should Attend

  • Students: High school seniors and undergraduate students exploring mental health careers. Current graduate students interested in pursuing doctoral programs in a different mental health profession.
  • Professionals: Individuals considering a career change into mental health.
  • Community Partners: Organizations looking to learn more about the mental health field as a career choice and how to best support their community members or organization participants.

Why This Program Matters

Latino communities face a significant gap in access to culturally competent mental health care. By inspiring and supporting Latino individuals to pursue careers in mental health, we’re working to close this gap and provide culturally relevant care to those who need it most.

Equally important is seeing this information being provided by and for the Latino community! We want our Latino community to see and meet current Latino mental health professionals doing the work!

How to Get Involved

Our events are more than just informational—they’re about empowerment. Together, we’re building a network of Latine mental health professionals who understand and advocate for our community’s needs.
